Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The man replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.
— Acts 8:30-31 NLT

Expectations

Teachers are expected to be dependable, committed, and conduct themselves professionally. Your role is to guide students and disciple them into the people God is calling them to be, this cannot be done without prayer and investing in our students.

    • In emergency situations please reach out to the dean, Bro. Tyler Montgomery, and notify him as early as possible if it is impossible, due to unforeseen circumstances, to teach your scheduled class.

Professionalism

  • Teachers must communicate in a professional manner

    • This means using email to communicate with students or dean regarding classes.

  • Follow up with students in a timely manner if they have questions or need help with assignments.

    • You are not being asked to do their work for them but rather to provide them the help and tools for them to complete their own work.

  • Dress & Act appropriately for class sessions

    • Casual attire is fine

    • If online or recording your lesson be mindful of your surroundings (background noise, distractions, etc.)

    • Silence your cell phone and keep yourself focused on the class and material at hand

      • We have very limited time and cannot easily reschedule a class

  • Teachers are to grade/review the worksheets and make any appropriate comments on those sheets.

  • Students will receive their grade or comments by the following week via email from their teachers.

  • The intent of the Worksheets is to create accountability and open discussion of progress and understanding between the student and teacher.

Online Classes require an accountability worksheet that must be completed by the student and submitted to the teacher before the next weeks lesson.

  • Students must complete the class and corresponding accountability worksheet every week, they cannot wait until the last minute and watch all the classes and fill out all the worksheets in the last few weeks.
